Re: Cooling Fans not working? Help Please!
So heres the deal. I have a 93 1.6L SOHC, So if you have the DOHC it might differ. Anyway it wasn't the relay, I replaced the relay in the engine compartment located in the fuse box. Nothing, So when it was overheating I broke out the voltage meter. The relay was getting a weak signal to turn on. So...

B6T engine swap..can someone sum it up?
I've been playing with this idea for some time. A B6T engine swap is a great idea, The after market is strong for the motor since it has a history rally racing. But I've been told conflicting information.
This is what I think I know:
1. The motor will bolt up to the engine mounts and tranny.<P...

Re: Knocking noise under hard acceleration........
I have the same problem I'm guessing it's a injector. The clicking can be heard coming from that area..... I need to replace them anyway but at $91 I sure hope it works. Do your spark plugs work themselfs loose?
-Cybin

Venom Performance Nitrous? Can I use it?
Okay, www.venom-performance.com offers a nitrous kit for the Protege 1991-1994 with a SOHC 1.6L engine. I've e-mail them many times if they plan on making the kit for MX3's. They never responded- so I pose this question: Is the p...

Re: intake and the air flow meter.
Yea I had to same set-up, Ordered a filter adaptor from corksport $20 and bought Tenzo air filter from Ebay, All in all no performance gains and having the filter flop around made me nervous, I took it off and bought a K&N. The stock intake isn't bad and it pulls cool air into the engine. The on...

Re: Should I buy?
I've got a '93 1.6L Sohc with 90K. No problems with mine. Once I got it, I changed out all the fluids and plugs and havn't had to touch it yet. I also use mine for pizza delivery so it does take abuse well. As for performance parts the 1.6L SOHC- Good luck!
-Cybin

Re: 1.6L performance. Where to start?
Racer X- Your god! I'm really thinking that a swap is the only solution.
Let's add this up. If the stock tranny can be used thats great-super easy. Although a limited slip differential would be better. That means the drive line (cv joints, shift linkage, ect) sould also work. The engine hood clear...

Re: 1.6L performance. Where to start?
Your right I do have a SOHC with about 90,000 miles on it. I'm really starting to think that a swap would be the only way to go. I'm thinking about a B6T but I'm trying to find info on the engine and about the swap.
-Cybin
