Thanks guys. I did bring it to Car Quest, and they said it looks like the alternator. I will be changing it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

[WTB] rear hatch wiper motor and/or plastic cover for it
someone worked on mine, didn't fix it and lost the plastic cover... now when I look out the rear view mirror, I see a naked wiper motor! I don't care too much if the rear wiper works, but would like to have the cover for sure.

voltage regulater and alternator, 1 unit?
If the voltage regulator is part of the alternator then why is it listed as a seperate part on autozone? "Voltage Regulator for a 1993 Mazda MX-3 Item Part No. Warranty Core Value Unit Price Availability Store Web WELLS VR859 3 MO $78.99" Just curious, as I think mine may be bad as well......

Need help diagnosing source of problem
Hi everyone, I have a 1.8L v6 MX3 GS and recently, the "charge battery" light in the console has begun to light up. At first, it only lit up when the engine was running under 1200rpm... now it lights up anywhere under 2200rpm. It seemed to get progressively worse over the course of a week....
