Yeah It is probably the valve cover gasket. I just replaced mine yesterday. It is easy to fix and cost me about $15

Seeing as it was in the 4-cyl forum I felt safe to assume he was talking about a 4-cylinder engine...

And the way I described it was for the 4-cyl because thats how I remove mine.

As stated before it all depends on whether you have a/c or not. If you don't then there is a bolt underneath that you must remove. Are you forgetting that? You must also take the bracket out because It will get in the way. Can't really be of much more help until you let us know if you have a/c or not.

[WTB] - Front seats, rear quaters, side mirrors, doors...

For a '93 Mx3. Must be in good condition.

Preferably in the Niagara/Toronto area just for ease of pick-up but I am not limited to this area.

If your alt. is good then make sure you check/clean your grounds, bad grounds can draw extra power. Also like said earlier have you battery checked. A bad batter will also draw excessive power because the alt. will be working harder to power it. Other than that I'm not sure what could be causing it....

If you think it might be your alternator then make sure you get it tested before you buy a new one... specially since parte are so expensive for our cars.

I don't know about the US but in Canada places like Canadian Tire and Partsource will do it for free...

I solved my own problem....

I removed the alternator and had it tested. It failed the test right away because of a poor electrical circuit, so I got a new one and threw that in. Car is running excellent now.

I had it towed home again and this time I took a closer look. and my alternator pulley doesn't turn as easy as the other one...

The gastank is 50 liters, not 40.

How many kilometers would 10mpg be?

That sounds about right to me, I usually get that with mostly city driving. Highway driving is between 400 - 500 Km per tank
