Re: Tranny swap Information

get a 5 spd out of a escort GT its probably the stronger of the trannies for use in a mx3. Its a g series and they usually are pretty easy to find since not to many people look for a escort gt to get 1 from, so long as its a 91-96 escort GT. It has the dohc bp engine in it, even has bp stamped in th...

the reason the rear defrost relay burns up with a perm fix

I found the reason why it goes bad if anyone is interested in the actual source of the issue as opposed to temporary fixes. The relays under the dash are all mounted on the plate. the one which controls the rear defrost has a heavy blue wire/white tracer and a heavy black wire with yellow tracer and...

Re: High idle and slow return

I have this issue but I only noticed it when the temp dropped here, I will be checking the coolant level but I am more inclined to think its the iac, I pulled the codes with my obd2 scanner and never got any which I thought was odd. I think the iac may be sticking with the colder weather.

Re: final drive..

has anyone ever done a write up on the 5th gear swap into a mx-3 trans? I just picked up a 96 mx-3 gs and I hate that its geared so low for highway cruising. 5th really needs to be taller on it. at 120km/h I am doing about 4000 rpm, way to high for highway cruising. or should I just swap in a mx-6 5...

Re: help me new kid with mazdas smoked light covers and bumpers

if you use that vht crap spray VERY light coats or it runs. I did a few tail lights with this stuff but I don't recommend it. It tends to go a little to dark for my liking and getting it even is a bit of a pita.
