Re: car stalls when ac turned on
mine spikes at 1200 then drops to 800 with a/c on at idle. When was the last tune up on the car and a good check over for any vac leaks kakarot? I would clean the throttlebody and idle air control valve as a precautionary measure anyway if I were you.

Re: 4 banger auto trannys?
ok 1 more time around I will explain this for those who instantly say autos are crap. The auto trans was not crap, in fact if its built up it will work better than any 5 spd. Here is the skinny on why they fail so often, its the trans cooler, 4 banger and v6 alike, the cooler on them was plain out j...

Re: car stalls when ac turned on
yeah I am with ryan on this if there is excessive drag on the a/c compressor then it will drag the idle down and stall the car. Best bet is to watch it with the splash covers removed see if the clutch turns when you hit the switch.

Re: Cut My Antenna Off, Radio Wont Work now.
medium sized one that fits in the key hole, dont be surprised if it does not work without destroying the lock cylinder. You may be able to get a bump key to work. What you do is file down a spare mx3 key so that all the peaks are the same height as the smallest one, stick it in the slot so that abou...

Re: K8 to DE swap??
mx3 clutch and the probe/mx 6 clutches are all the same, so long as you go with a good upgraded clutch you will be fine, the v6 clutch bolts to all kl series flywheels. In fact almost everyone who does the swap uses the mx3 or lightened flywheel since the mx3 flywheel is much lighter than the mx6 or...

Re: Cut My Antenna Off, Radio Wont Work now.
step 1) align flathead with key hole as if you were going to insert it into the keyhole.
step 2) smash the end with a hammer to punch out the key lock cylinder
step 3) get a new glove box cause chances are that you are going to cause some collateral damage to the cover.

Re: Radio Signal Wacky
sounds like a broken antenna wire to me, check the continuity on them with a multimeter end to end and see if you have good continuity, also check for continuity between the terminals at 1 end, if you do then its shot.

Re: New tensioner and belt k8 smoking
if your smoking white then that sounds like a bad head gasket, check all 6 plugs see if one or more are different than the rest, also check the coolant level, if you blew a head gasket then you will be losing coolant.

Re: 'Failmatic' Transmission problem...
Check the battery and alternator, disconnect the negative cable with the car running, if it dies then the alternator is what is keeping the car alive, replace the battery. Buy a cheap voltmeter, with the car running in P you should be seeing about 14.2 volts at idle, also if there is any corrosion o...

Re: possible transmission problems
Like Ryan said you will have to get down there an look, you most likely blew a transmission pressure line but I am sorry to say that if you let it run almost dry that there is a 90% chance you cooked the trans or the pump, If the pump got low on oil it cavitates, sounds like a bag of marbles smackin...
