Re: Hesitation on acceleration

Do the simple crap first, check for vac leaks, the idle air control has squat to do with hesitation it only controls idle, being a 96 it would throw a code if it were out of timing. Do you have a check engine light on at all? Also check for a loose throttle cable if its overly slack it can simulate ...

Re: JDMChris' - 96 V6 GS (K8) - Rage Red - Worklog

very nice job on the sub box, I have to make one like that for my car as I do not like my trunk being taken up by the 2 10" subs I have in there, I have a 12" alpine type s I may use instead and do a single sub setup like that or opt to mold them into the pockets behind the rear wheel well...

Re: Stoopid Frickin Charging System!!!

ok so at idle when warmed up and with all lighting, sound system etc off I had 1.9 amps constant, with defrost on it spiked at 10 amps draw then dropped slowly down to 3 or so. With sound on all lights etc I was around 14 amps.

I am going to clean them up remove the stickers and then polish them again prior to install. Not to sure if I want to do the rear one yet and I am going to be modding the front one to fit...

Re: Stoopid Frickin Charging System!!!

hmm well to burn out a rectifier you would need to get the alternator pretty hot meaning a damn high draw but if the rear defrost fuse did not blow then you know its not that at fault. I will do a current draw test on mine for you tomorrow see what the draw is at idle with all accessories off includ...

Re: Has any one had trouble installing their short throw shi

I meant cutting the stock one, not the aftermarket, I should have been a little clearer on that for you. The b&M come with o rings for different applications, the mx-3 does not require them. When I weld my shifter I v cut the joints to make for deep penetration, I have never had one of my welds ...

Re: Stoopid Frickin Charging System!!!

just out of curiosity check the defrost relay under the dash see if its melted, there is a 40 amp fuse in the engine bay that feeds power to the 20 amp relay under the dash, see if someone jumpered it to make it work or if the relay has melted into a nice pile of crap. Short of that I would do a cur...

Re: Has any one had trouble installing their short throw shi

what he means is that the o rings make the shifter pivot to wide to fit down into the hole properly so remove them and it will fit in there better allowing you to put the snap ring on. I made my own after work one day, I just simply cut a 1.5" section out of the straight part above the pivot an...

ok so here are the pics of the car painted, keep in mind that I can not wash her good yet just rinse her until the paint has fully hardened, and in about 2 weeks time I am going to have her buffed up to a glossy shine. So without further ado here she is; http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t220/Newfi...

Re: bpt engine wont kick over

you are not getting any power to the starter from the ignition switch, make sure that you connected that right and check for blown fuses.
