Ever hear of Dumonde Tech racing oil?
Me, either. I got a gallon of it for a good price, so I'm going to check it out. It's a synthetic with the same base as Mobil1, but better engineered somehow. He said that these are the only 2 oils that use the particular base. My friend uses it in his 500hp Subaru, and says he gets slightly better ...

Re: Anybody given these a shot?
I was going to when I was still really gung-ho. Maybe, once I start working on it again, I will! I would love to have motorcycle-revs, just for fun.

Nowadays, it is not a good idea to shave flywheels, like it was when I started hotrodding.

Re: Trailing arm
Why don't you put a wrench on both sides? If there's not enough room, you may have to grind a wrench to make it skinny. I don't remember how I did mine, but it seemed easy.

Re: Anybody given these a shot?
Something I've had in my head (where something important should be, like my girlfriend's birthday) is the idea of clutching pulley(s). If the drive pulley clutched loose under high centrifugal force, it would free up a lot of HP. It would have to be calibrated to re-engage before the car blew up fro...

Re: New Owner from Oregon!
Well, hello. It seems very strange to me that I saw you on FaceCrack first, since I used to be on here everyday, and welcomed new member for years :-) Anyway, I look forward to meeting you. I have a lot more to do to my car, and was thinking about doing it with Blake down there. Maybe we could get a...

Spokane area meet around Feb 22?
Hi all. I am going to be in Spokane from Feb 21-23 or 24. This is an opportunity for me to meet you all up there, and maybe we can organize a huge meet. Maybe we could get a hotel room, or two, or maybe someone up there could host us? I have a place to stay, with family. We've benn talking about it ...

Re: matts 94 mx-3 gs build. MOARRRRR GOODIES
That's a good choice. Chasing the dream of 200HP isn't for everyone. If you have the inclination, you can put in high compression pistons, and bigger cams, etc.. down the road. Honestly, The butt dyno doesn't know much of a difference, and even so, one gets used to what he has. My car feels slow now...

Re: What Engine Could Replace the KLZE?
Here's a sort of related idea, without starting a new thread; It seems to me that the transmission will hold up to 500HP, if you don't hammer on it. I don't drag race much, if at all. It's kind of fun, but I prefer autocross. Of course AutoX isn't easy on the tranny, either, but I think it would hol...

Re: "Millenia ZE" vs "True ZE" Dyno evidence.
I feel that, since we're talking about swapping things around, a stand alone EMS should be part of the equation. Why not get the best out of whatever you put together? Then, the hardware can speak for itself, and this thread will stop going in circles. Just recently, there is a plug and play MegaSqu...

Re: "Millenia ZE" vs "True ZE" Dyno evidence.
Also remember; These are old engines, and can lose HP, depending on a lot. You could dyno 2 exactly same curve neck ZEs, and get very different numbers. My take on the whole thing is: rebuild an engine with the best parts you can afford, that work best together, according to your research. A decent ...
