Need Advice on new clutch

Clutch slips a lot.. well.. it has 215KM on the orig.. so its on its way out. My buddy is going to help me replace the clutch and Im just wondering which clutch kit I should get for it. I own a 92 4 cyl 1.6. I just bought it for getting around in when my old car died but the more I drive it the more...

highlife: I dont notice any preasure release when i open the cap. Looks like im getting 17 mpg on this thing... assuming it has a 13 gallon tank.. but im guessing its probably a 10 gallon, i fill up when the low fuel light comes on, and only put in 35-40 litres. So if thats the case its more like 22...

I think i will pick up a cheap 1 wire o2 sensor and see if that helps then. Could be the reason im getting fluctuating idles and engine flooding as well.

Poor Mileage

Averaging out around 350 km/tank on my 92. Sure it has seen better days, but at around $40 to fill, im wondering what steps i can take to increase the mileage.

It has just had an oil change a month ago, and i replaced sparkplug wires, distributer cap + rotor. Whats next?

I only get this problem when its wet outside.

replaced spark plug wires, distributer cap, and rotor
dielectric grease on everything, then sprayed everything down with wd40 and still on wet days it acts up. on dry days its smooth as molassas.

Where else could the problem be.

On the way to Part Source to get new spark plug wires I stalled the car twice... very damp rainy day.. very sluggish. Flooring the gas peddle and then starting the car worked like a charm! Thanks for this tip. Got new distributer cap, rotor, and spark plug wires. Coated the boots and plugs with some...

I tested the spark plug wires today during my lunch hour.

They were really sparking up. So definately shorting there and causing the miss firing to flood the engine. Going to get a fresh pair of High quality spark plug wires on the way home tonight and hopefully that does the trick.

These are great tips.. Will ease my nerves when driving my 92 MX-3. Does anyone know if flooring the gas peddle before starting the car works on a 92 4 cyl? I stalled my car this morning at some red lights and had to push the car off to the side of the road and wait 20 mins for it to unflood. wish i...

Last week i took the car to the mechanic to have the throttle body cleaned. I think he must have also adjusted the indle rpm. It still really bounces around a lot but this time its at 1000RPM-2000 instead of 700RPPM-100RPM so it felt a little safter driving and drove it until today without the engin...

Well.. this was my friends car, and i drove in it the week before i bought it and it was fine. I know he played with a bunch of stuff to get it to pass the Emissions test. it failed the test 2wice and passed on the 3rd attempt. He might have played around with the idle for this. I am seeing the mech...

Thank you 93_mx3_gs, sound advice, I will look into it. Before when i said heating up i really just meant after the car had a chance to warm up.. still within reasonable limits :) First starting the car in the morning everything is fine, but after i drive it a few blocks the idle starts to dip almos...
