just swap the pulley from your current Alt to the new one. It takes about five minutes. The belts are different so you have to use your existing pulley. I did it about a year ago and it is still running strong....

Thank you all for all of your help. I am not all that worried about making my car fast(for lack of a better word) until I have a new daily driver but more to keep the 3 on the road so that my wife doesn't make me get rid of it. all you have to do is take the pulley off of your stock alt and put it onto the GS alt. I have had the 90 amp gs alt on my car for about a year with just doing this and it is just fine. Okay have a line on a 94 protege 1.8l dohc (BPD???) list is 850.00 but the last one was listed at 650.00 and dropped to 450.00 so who knows. I am waiting to hear what all comes with the egine as well as far as accs and ecu. If I am swaping from a Sohc B6 to the bp do I need the ecu. thanks as always...

Okay here is the question. I have a 93 Sohc that is having issues. I was wondering if a swap to a dohc from a 95 would help. looking at one with 57000 miles for 450.00 is this a decent price and if so what else from the 95 do I need. Any and all help is appreciated...

I just did the swap form the 1.6l sohc alt to the vv6 90 amp alt about a month ago. It is pretty straight forward just change the pulleys and then wedge it in, it is a tight fit to get it into position then the mounting bolt goes backwards, and the top adjustment bolt needs a custom mout to be able ...

I am looking to upgrade my rear drums to rear disc, Is there any way to get a rear hub and caliper that will fit the back that will still make it so that my e-brake will function properly and if so what donor car should I look for. I did a quick search but nothing came back that looked right.
