uh...don't use engine flush products.
any sludge that couldn't be flushed out can possibly block oil passages.
just do your oil changes and go for full synthetic.

no leaks. the same cel code keeps coming up: 16 egr system. idle is still going haywire but the cel doesn't have to go on before this happens. can anyone point me in the right direction? i'm a big fat noooooob

so now something new is going on. now everything is fine but when the cel comes on, the car idles up and down pretty bad (clutch in). i checked for cracks in the accordion and tightened all the connections. i'll go and buy some butane today and do the ol' leak test on the rest of the tubing and mayb...

now the only code i get is 16 egr system
where should i start to correct this problem? i'm tempted to rip out the whole damn system or would the check engine light constantly "shine"?
i wish i had smaller hands to work on this car.....

Thanks to you lads for your help. I got the new sensor in place and everything works good. The car is safetied and on the road legit now. Now for the fun part....searching for a new engine to drop in this spring!
And paint....gotta have some fresh paint.

how much do the 2.5's go for? Complicated install? I've never worked on small imports before, only big american muscle. Seems it would be a TIGHT squeeze! I'm always looking for a challenge though!

Nice...mine looks like yours but with a red front. Mine is a little more beat up right now though but I bought it because its never been smashed and there is no Bondo.
