Post FAQ: What are the rules for organizing a Group Buy?
All Group Buys hosted on MX-3.com will incur a fee to be decided at the time of approval. No specific fee structure has been decided on as of yet, however, depending on the items and total cost involved in the said Group Buy, the fees could be either a small percentage per item sold, or a lump sum fee for the group buy.
All Group Buys MUST be approved by me before they are given permission to be posted on the MX-3.com Forums. Any Group Buy Posts seen in other forums besides the Group Buy Forum will be removed as they are spotted by the Forum Administrators/Moderators. If you are given permission to host one Group Buy that means you are only approved for that specific instance of the Group Buy. If it is successful, and you wish to organize another Group Buy in the future, you must submit a request again, and be approved for the second Group Buy.

The Group Buy forum is only for posting information pertaining to group buys. (Administrators must give access to group buy organizers before a new group buy is added.) Please contact forums@MX-3.com to be given access to this forum as only group buy organizers will be allowed to post here once it is set up. MX-3.com holds no responsibility for the validity of any Group Buys that are posted in this forum/on this site, so be sure to research who you are dealing with before sending your money.

More specific rules for Group Buy Organizers to follow.

Below are the rules of the Group Buy Forum: (Please follow them or your rights will be revoked.)

Due to problems with group buys in the past it was decided that it is MX-3.com's policy for the organizer of any group buy the member MUST identify themselves clearly Full Name, Address, Country, the member must use an ISP email address, disclose supplier of said product and contact information the can be used to verify that said product is legitimate. Also should be included is payment and shipping information. This policy was adopted due issues and concerns about the origins of product in certain group buys in the past. As there has been some concerns as to the reality of this product and/or the validity of the group buy itself.

The procedure for posting the group buy info is to post as much info about the buy as possible, including the info I requested above, as a new topic in the group buy section. When you receive updated or changed information on the group buy status, do not edit the original post, simply reply to your own original post in the group buy forum and make your additional comments. No one else will be allowed to reply to your posts in the group buy forum, they will be required to send you an e-mail offline for more info.

Fees for Group Buys can be negotiated, but in general are as follows:

5% of the cost of the item is donated to the site by each person in the Group Buy.

So, for example, a Group Buy consists of a $100 item. 10 people are required. Each person would donate $5 to MX-3.com for hosting the Group Buy. The Group Buy organizer collects this donation amount, and submits it to MX-3.com at the end of the Group Buy on behalf of the buyers.

It is important to note that this donation is strictly to support the website, and is not paid buy the organizer, but by the seperate buyers. You, the organizer can decide whether the donations is included in the Group Buy cost, or if it is an additional amount on top of the Group Buy amount.
(Same as most people do with shipping charges, sometimes it is included, other times it is on top of the price.)

If any clarification is needed, please let me know.
