Also, marettes by themselves are as useful as wheels without tires. You need to properly install them, and as I said before about multi-strand wires, you need to use the correct sized marette with metal threads, and you need to avoid overtwisting the strands. A short piece of electrical tape should ensure that the marette isn't twisted at any odd angles that will overstress the strands.
