Z-Man's Tech Tips
Many of you have e-mailed me asking all sorts of questions, maybe this will be able to help you.
One Wiper Configuration:
- Remove The Driver's Side Wiper Arm. It Is Only Held Down By A Nut.
- Loosen The Bolt On Passenger Side Wiper.
- Aim It 1/4 On The Windshield.
- Tighten Nut.
- You Might Have To Play With It A Bit, To Get It Just Right.
- The Best Size Wiper Is The Stock One.
Air Filter:
- Remove Stock Air Box.
- Keep Fresh Air Duct. (It Does No Harm.)
- The Hose That Is Connected To The Bottom Of The Air Box, Do Not Plug It Or Leave It Free. It Needs Filtered Air So Just Make A Small Filter And It Will Be Fine.
- Attach New Filter, Tighten With A Hose Clamp.
- Make A Bracket, The Filter Needs Support.
- Even Though The Engine Is Hot, The Air Temp. Going Into The Engine Is Not As Hot As Everyone Thinks. You Can Make A Cold Air Duct, Chances Are It Will Not Harm Anything.
Advancing Timing:
- Don't Even Bother, The Car's ECU Will Correct The Timing Anyway.
Misfiring Cylinder?:
- Spray Some Water On Header Tube. If You Do Have A Problem, The Cylinder With A Problem Will Evaporate Slower.
Tight Wheel Studs?:
- Everytime You Take Your Wheels Off Spray Some WD-40, Trust Me It Will Help In The Long Run.
Headliner Wrinkles:
- Use A Hair Dryer. Most Of The Time This Will Take The Wrinkles Out.
Battery Post:
- Put A Penny At Each Battery Post. The Penny Will Collect The Corrosion Not The Posts.
Keep Your Old Parts:
- Keep All The Parts You Can. If You Are Lowering Your Car Keep The Old Springs Etc.
